Digital Literacy Student Guide: Studiosity

Helping students with digital literacy skills needed for university.

Studiosity: Study help anytime, anywhere

Studiosity is a free online study help service available to all Avondale students. This resource is available outside of typical office hours and offers assistance in various aspects of learning, including guidance on topics such as academic writing, referencing, sentence structure, study techniques, exam preparation, online research skills, numeracy and literacy.

There are two types of interactions offered:

  1. Writing Feedback: This involves an evaluation of your assessment drafts specifically focusing on academic literacy elements like organization, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and referencing. Typically, you will receive written feedback on your draft in less than 24 hours.
  2. Connect Live: In this mode, a real-life tutor is accessible online to assist you in real time. Live tutors are available to help between 3 pm and 12 am. Whilst there is a 20min limit on a live interaction, you can reconnect for additional interactions if required.

All Avondale students can access 10 free interactions with Studiosity per semester. Please note that the Studiosity service does not encompass content editing or subject-specific analysis; for inquiries of this nature, kindly reach out to your course lecturer or learning advisors.

To access your Studiosity dashboard, go to the Avondale Library Academic Support page, or follow the links in Moodle.
