What is Primo?
Primo is a search tool for books, eBooks, articles, journals, videos, and more. Primo is the name used for the Library Catalogue. Using Primo, you can search the Library Catalogue for physical books, online resources ( E-Books and journal articles), Open-Access resources and more.
You can access Primo to search the Library catalogue via the Library homepage or by going to primo.avondale.edu.au
A simple Primo search brings back results including:
- Books
- DVDs
- Physical journal titles
- eBooks
- Online journal articles
- Online Newspaper content/articles
To search, just type in one or more words and press Enter. Treat it like a Google search – include words, authors, etc. This usually brings back thousands of results and you may like to do an Advanced search to be more specific.

It is recommended to sign in before you start. Signing in allows you to:

Avondale Library login is the same as all other Avondale username/password combinations.
The sign-in option is located in the top right corner of the web page or under the search bar on the library's homepage.
Your name will appear in place of the sign in option once you are logged in.
